- Mongolia has some of the biggest resource deposits of the earth, containing huge amounts of copper, gold, coal, “rare earth metals” and other minerals.
- Only 2.8 million people with a very high educational standard live in an area as big as Germany, France, Great Britain and Italy combined.
- In light of the economic and political interests of China regarding rare resources (trade restrictions), Mongolia will be a key strategic position, in the future. Experts expect Mongolia to be the Norway of the 21st century.
- Germany has a very high reputation in Mongolia and a very high credibility in solving complex problems regarding the economic development, the use of sustainable energy and the environment.
- On site in Ulan Bator, the “Deutsche Gesellschaft für technische Zusammenarbeit” (gtz; German Society for Technological Cooperation) supports the assembly of necessary structures.
- The projected “Industrial and Innovational Park Ulan Bator” is planned to become a centre of excellence – not only for mining industries, but also for machine construction and sustainable energy providers.
